Former Employee - Sales says

"This is a boutique company but they sometimes act as though they are the 800 lb gorilla that can tell customers how to do business with them. Management does not value the sales team and historically has found ways to avoid paying them through shell games with accounts and territories or ridiculously aggressive goals. There is a Junior High School game playing attitude internally that includes management."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Badly managed, horribly run and everyone is underpaid. Also, they will sabotage your chances if you try to leave. I've worked at chain restaurants who treat their employees better."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Asuragen has strayed away from its small company roots, yet lacks the strategy and executive leadership to really enter into the big leads. Corporate culture has become absolutely caustic, with a very high turn-over across the board, particularly on the commercial side of the operation. Compensation is not competitive and executive leadership demonstrates neither compassion, strategy or foresight. Matt Winkler has become little more than a figure head; I fear the current leadership will result in continued weakness or a fire sale of the company to save face."

Assistant Scientist I/II/Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"The management is just trying to sell the company, i.e. they won't invest in their employees or processes as needed to grow the company. It was traumatic working here."

Marketing Director (Former Employee) says

"Asuragen is a small company that has limited products contributing to growth. As a member of the marketing team, our recommendations for new product development were consistently ignored while the favorite research products in development were focused on- all which would have a minimal impact on revenue growth. The turn over rate is over 20% per year- the sales team is under appreciated as were members of the marketing team.Poor salary, poor exec management"

worker (Former Employee) says

"Management tries to get you to turn on each other so they can fire someone they are targeting. Will make up lies and have others support those lies. HR will lie to your face and say they got your back when you file reports with them regarding these things but will turn around bite you in the back."

Scientist (Current Employee) says

"The coworkers are generally nice and fun to work with. There is disconnect between upper management leading to a lack of communication throughout groups. The main reason for the poor rating is the lack of advancement.Good benefits"
